National Children’s Orchestra Come and Play Day

National Children’s Orchestras are coming to Dorset this Spring for a free fun day of orchestral music-making in partnership with [music.wessex.ac]Wessex Schools Music in Dorset. There is space for 50 young musicians new to NCO in each setting to come and play The Jungle Book Medley with NCOs team of tutors and conductor Veronica Urrego. Children will also create their own piece of music as a group with trombonist and composer Richard Shrewsbury focussing on the Natural World. This workshop is suitable for children aged 8 – 12 and playing at roughly Grade 2-5 standard. NCO are looking for children to join them on as many different traditional orchestral instruments as possible. Traditional orchestral instruments include all strings, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, french horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion and harp (If you play drum kit but interested in trying out percussion then sign-up!)
