CPD and training
Our work is underpinned by Early Years music theory and national experts. Our Early Years journey began back in 2019 through working with National Expert Nicola Burke to develop a Dorset based Early Years strategy and we continue to work with a range of academics and experts in the Early Years sector to develop our work.
A key document for anyone interested in Early Years music is ‘Musical Development matters’ by Nicola Burke. This guidance document supports practitioners and parents in nurturing musicality of young children by providing suggestions about what adults can do at different stages of a childs development. Accompanying the document are a range of videos that look at the different aspects of music in more detail.
